User Reviews

Chatsen delivers a fast, emote-rich mobile Twitch chat experience with easy channel switching, but users repeatedly report stability and input issues, a rough UI/UX, feature gaps, and occasional video playback quirks. The app excels for on-the-go chatting and emote use, yet reliability and polish remain areas for improvement.
Pros
  • Fast, snappy performance and smooth handling of fast-moving Twitch chats.
  • Strong third-party emote support on iOS (BTTV/FFZ/7TV).
  • Easy mobile experience with quick channel switching and bottom/pinned channels.
  • Keeps video playback running while you chat, enabling on-the-go viewing.
  • Clean, familiar feel that many users find intuitive for mobile chat.
Cons
  • Stability issues: chat can freeze or the app crashes, especially in fast-moving chats.
  • Typing/input problems: small text box, typing lag, and messages sometimes fail to send during rapid chats.
  • UI/UX/navigation problems: cluttered, hard to navigate, and back-out controls awkward or non-intuitive.
  • Feature/bug gaps: missing or inconsistent features (e.g., search by @) and bugs like emotes not updating.
  • Inconsistent video experience: landscape mode limitations and times where the video player is unreliable.

Definitely my favorite option for mobile twitch chatting. It's fast, clean, and functional. I love being able to quickly switch between stream's chats at the bottom. The only feature I feel is possibly missing is being able to tap on messages to view threads/reply chains.

easy integration with twitch, snappy and responsive and easy integration with all the usual 3rd party emote sources. ostensibly does everything you’d want a twitch chat app to do but there are some missing and/or broken features that annoy me. the ability to search people by @ is absent/periodically disappears. one has to force close and restart the app to see any emote changes or updates. my biggest point of pain is the apps inability to automatically switch between light and dark mode with the rest of the device
