Imagine a repeater (or chiming) watch on your phone. Now imagine being able to actuate this ‘complication’ in real time. Not everyone can own a watch of this complexity but for the first time anyone can enjoy the sound and magic of this mechanical art. Make no mistake, this is not CGI. This is the real thing!! The first timepiece is a quarter repeater which, when actuated, strikes the number of hours and then the number of quarter hours since the last hour. The mechanism uses 2 chimes of different tones. The low tone signals the hours, and the high tone the quarter hours. The chimes are created by two hammers which strike gongs.

Both sides of the watch are visible (by selecting ‘dial side’ or ‘mechanism’). Again, the real time is always indicated.
