User Reviews

Overall, players find Classic Bridge enjoyable and educational, with hints, reviewable hands, and practice bidding that help improve skills, plus a user-friendly, stable interface and realistic competition. Repeated downsides include inconsistent bidding/defense, concerns about non-random or biased deal hands, dislikes of UI/color updates, and occasional stability bugs.
Pros
  • Fun and engaging gameplay that players enjoy and want to play daily.
  • Strong learning features: hints, practice bidding, and the ability to review hands to improve skills.
  • User-friendly, stable interface with improved display and clear suit colors that aid play.
  • Feels realistic and competitive, offering a solo-friendly way to practice against capable opponents.
Cons
  • Bidding rules and defense feel inconsistent or weak compared to standard bridge rules.
  • Perceived non-random or biased deal distribution, with swings favoring one side (E/W).
  • Update and color changes are disliked by many, including new colors and color misalignments.
  • Bugs and stability issues, including crashes and incorrect behavior.

Good that you fixed the problem with which defense hand leads.

I can’t bid a takeout double because N always passes. On a takeout double with no intervening bid the partner must bid. Also, N bids a takeout double on a 3 bid rather than a 1/2 bid. I think there is a sign error in the takeout double logic.
