User Reviews

Overall, users find Emano Flow useful, easy to use, and doctor-friendly for tracking urinary patterns outside the clinic. They highlight its ability to reveal what's happening and support treatment decisions, with portability being a plus. However, repeated reliability and data integrity issues (data processing failures, data loss after reinstall, cloud sync errors) undermine confidence. Some measurements don't always align with the user's experience, and hardware or connectivity (Bluetooth, hearing aids, microphone) can affect recordings. UI tweaks and clearer normal benchmarks would help, as would fixes for loops, survey timing, and don't-know options. Potential remains high with fixes.
Pros
  • Easy to use with a well-designed interface.
  • Provides real-world urinary data that helps doctors understand the patient and tailor treatment.
  • Portable and eliminates the need for at-home measuring cups, making travel easier.
  • Delivers insightful patterns and data about urinary issues.
  • Tracks multiple flow rates in a natural environment, offering broader insights than clinic tests.
Cons
  • Reliability issues: occasional data processing failures and data loss after reinstall, plus cloud sync glitches.
  • Data accuracy concerns: graphs may not always match the actual experience, and recordings can be affected by hardware like Bluetooth devices or hearing aids.
  • UI/UX frictions: start button placement conflicts with gestures, lack of a cancel button, and some medical wording.
  • Lack of normative benchmarks: no clear normal values or age-group comparisons to gauge progress.
  • Workflow drawbacks: endless loops without a 'don't know' option and burdensome daily input or surveys.

Light from app at night was bothersome and had the tendency to make it hard to get back to sleep. Tried recording several times from the same phone location and did not record but other times it did. Questions are pretty generic in nature for survey and after urinating in general. And adding a nickname has been infuriating as it says every name I submit has been taken.

The app is okay, but the measurements feels a bit inconsistent. it's hard to fully rely on the results right now.
