User Reviews

Summary: Reviewers praise Pearson+ as an all-in-one, mobile-friendly study tool with features like audible add-ons and flashcards, but recurring issues affect usability. The most mentioned points include mobile highlighting bugs, media playback problems, unreliable or AI-generated content, billing/cancellation headaches, and limited in-app content access requiring a browser.
Pros
  • All-in-one study tool that consolidates textbooks, study prep, and course materials.
  • Strong mobile experience and convenience for studying on iPhone/iPad.
  • Audible add-on and flash cards provide helpful learning aids.
  • General usability that makes it easier to study challenging subjects (e.g., complex courses).
Cons
  • Highlighting/annotation issues on mobile (end-of-paragraph deselection or loss of highlight).
  • Media playback problems (videos won’t play; audio/read-aloud issues; audiobook quality).
  • AI content reliability concerns (inaccurate results, AI-generated content with typos, not customizable).
  • Billing and cancellation problems (hard to cancel; auto-renew charges; difficulty removing payment methods).
  • Content access limitations in-app (missing study aids, formatting/display issues, need to use a web browser; iPad display problems).

My hatred for this app has grown in the last 9 weeks of using it. It’s so buggy. First, if you make one wrong swipe with your finger, good luck. It’ll throw you to some random section and now you have to spend a few minutes figuring out how to get back. Second, it’s buggy as hell. I keep getting thrown to random sections of when scrolling down. I prefer to listen to my books and highlight them as I go. The audio controls are terrible and make it difficult to quickly start and stop the audio. There should be an option to lock the start and stop button to the screen so I can quickly stop the audio, do a quick highlight and reviews and then start it again. Right now it’s very painful to start stop quickly

Highlighting is extremely buggy when highlighting numbers and cuts out highlighting completely on random lines

It’s really offensive to me that I cannot access my e-textbook on my computer if internet access is limited. Please, just let us download chapters in a temporary pdf or something.
