ChordShapes: Guitar Chords is a powerful intelligent chord engine for guitar, ukulele, and other plucked instruments. It shows classic chord shapes and every variation across the fretboard, with over 50 chord types and more than 7,500 chords, including slash chords. You can swipe a chord diagram to strum in real time, with the strum following your finger's speed and direction. Choose steel or nylon strings for a more accurate sound, and long-press a diagram to view it bigger.

Beyond chords, the app offers a reverse lookup to identify chords, scale-based diatonic chords, and the ability to create rich chord sheets that can be saved and exported as PDF. Explore alternate tunings (including custom tunings with 3–7 strings) and see how chords translate to that configuration. This makes ChordShapes a comprehensive tool for learning, composing, and performing music.
