User Reviews
Pros
- Nostalgic iPod-like UI that appeals to fans of classic devices.
- Works with your Apple library and can play songs from it.
- Visually appealing design and overall concept that feels like a real iPod experience.
Cons
- Frequent crashes and overall instability; the app often stops responding or exits.
- Core features like Settings, Cover Flow, and navigation frequently don’t work or are non-functional.
- Limited music sources (only Apple Music/library); cannot import non-Apple music or link services like Spotify.
- Accessibility options are lacking (no font size control).
- Not updated for years, giving a sense of abandonment and unfinished execution.
Recent reviews
I saw the lower reviews and was hesitant on downloading, very pleased with how it functions. If you download this expecting to play old iPod games or change certain things you can’t. But it’s a great little nostalgic app that frees you from switching apps

This app is amazingly simple and true to its word: it mimics an iPod circa 2008. I wanted to fine tune my experience and up the haptic feedback to a higher setting, because you don’t get a whole lot of haptics by default, and with a modern device’s touch screen, pushing the menu/pause play buttons feels very strange. You don’t get the clicky feedback you otherwise would on a real iPod. Included in the iPod main menu, are “settings” and “extras,” neither of which actually work. Tbh that was my only let down. I simply wanted to see if I could turn the haptics up to a higher setting, to perhaps get a more push button feedback, similar to the one you get with Apple’s 3D Touch/Live Photo feature on a normal iPhone. Well, hopefully the devs read this and add that functionality. When they do, it’s def 5/5 stars from me!!
