MitID Chrome extension enables secure desktop authentication with your MitID digital ID. Log in, sign, and approve actions across self-service solutions, with mobile approvals via a swipe and desktop authentication by scanning a QR code.

Activation and management: activate in-app by scanning your passport/ID card or using an activation code from Borgerservice. You can also configure a spare MitID for loss scenarios. I’ve tried over ten times to get set up. App refuses to read my passport’s chip, then sends me through the same exact process that I’ve already done again, just to end up denying the whole thing. Claiming my face doesn’t match the picture on my Passport. Sure, whatever. Went to the website to look for FAQ, no help there. Horrible app.
