User Reviews

Sparklite blends Zelda-like roguelite exploration with a stylish retro-modern look and strong world-building. Reviewers praise the story, secrets, and progression, and many consider it a solid, value-rich mobile experience. The most common drawbacks are touchscreen controls that are tiny and unreliable, plus bugs and occasional crashes. Some players find combat repetitive and late-game encounters RNG-like or punishing. Overall, it’s a promising title that shines when controls work and stability holds, but it needs control refinements and better onboarding.
Pros
  • Zelda-inspired roguelite with an engaging story and world to explore.
  • Retro-modern visuals and gorgeous artwork.
  • Deep roguelite progression and strong replay value.
  • Solid mobile performance and smooth visuals.
  • Perceived value with limited microtransactions and a generally positive mobile experience.
Cons
  • Tiny, imprecise on-screen controls with very small buttons.
  • Input can be inconsistent, causing unintended moves or deaths.
  • Bugs and stability issues, including unlocks not working and boss crashes.
  • Combat feels repetitive and not particularly engaging.
  • Late-game boss fights can feel RNG-based or punishing, and onboarding is sparse.

The game is a pretty limited Legend of Zelda remake (from when it was still an overhead view game). The monsters are ok. The upgrades are creative. The bosses - if you’ve played any of these games, you’ve seen them. The problem is the controls. They are so imprecise I end up dying not because I didn’t know what to do but because i pushed the button and the game did nothing or moved me in a different direction. Fix that and you have a nice 4-star adventure game. Right now it’s just frustration.

Ruins the face with a massive jump in artificial difficulty. It’s wild that this game has been out for over 5 years and that’s STILL how the final boss plays out. The room for error and dodge time entirely feels like rng and almost frame perfect

Great game, but when I paid to unlock the full game it didn’t work. Pain twice and no game. Not sure if that’s a one off issue or not.
