User Reviews

Overall, players like the game’s visuals and calming city-building vibe, with sandbox options and a nostalgic feel. However, blockers undermine the experience: you must use Facebook to start or manage cities, which turns many players away. Progression is often blocked by bugs or level caps, leaving players stuck. Support and reporting options are lacking, and in-game chat is minimal. The economy also feels imbalanced, with gems gating progress and noticeable paywall pressure. UI and planning tools can be confusing, contributing to frustrating layouts.
Pros
  • High-quality graphics and visuals
  • Relaxing, calming city-building experience
  • Nostalgic feel similar to classic civ/AOE games
  • Sandbox mode option for a laid-back playstyle
  • Accessible core concept of building a civilization from scratch
Cons
  • Facebook login is required to start or manage cities, blocking many players
  • Progression is often blocked by bugs or level caps, causing players to get stuck
  • Limited or absent in-game support, no bug reporting, and poor communication (no world chat)
  • Balance issues and heavy paywalls/gem gating plus resource scarcity hinder free-to-play players
  • UI/UX and map/placement frustrations (icon ambiguity, small service radii, difficult to plan city layouts)

Why is the Aztec civilization still only open if you want to do sandbox mode rather than task mode why is the task mode still locked for that one?
