User Reviews

Players broadly praise Stick War: Saga for its immersive, strategic depth, and strong control over formations, with deck/spell systems and tower upgrades adding meaningful progression. The visuals and lore are engaging, and the campaign provides depth. However, recurring issues include balance and monetization concerns (overpowered generals, archers spam, paywalled power), plus online/reward bugs (inventory checks, chests, gem losses) and some account-transfer problems. Reviewers also want more chaos units and new generals/bosses, plus quality-of-life fixes like reporting features and reduced grind. Overall, solid with clear room for balance and polish.
Pros
  • Immersive, strategic depth with strong control over formations.
  • Deep customization via decks, spells, garrison mechanics, and tower upgrades.
  • Visually appealing presentation with engaging lore and progression.
  • Campaign depth and continuity that add replayability.
Cons
  • Balance and monetization concerns: overpowered generals, archers spam, and paywalled power.
  • Online/reward bugs: inventory checks, chest rewards not delivered, and gem losses.
  • Account transfer/login problems across devices leading to lost progress.
  • Quality-of-life gaps and feature requests: lack of reporting tools, desire for more chaos units/new generals, and grind reduction.

I love this game, but I wish you could buy units with gems. For example, you could buy Lunarclops for 900 gems, or buy a spearton dead for 50 gems.

I love both stick war games so much but the one thing legacy has over this game is everything is available for free if you’re willing to put in the effort so I’d love if you added a way for free to play users to access more generals simultaneously to make general combos more accessible such as marrowkai and giant lord sightless I was thinking maybe let us get another permanent general after completing events or finishing campaign mode on hard and insane mode

I really liked the offline practice mode since you can mess around on it all day and make new decks and test them but they got removed for some reason and the hero’s are not all available and if you want to get them when they are not in the current rotation you have to spend money making the game pay to win now
