This service seemed very appealing at first, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. The fact that you cannot change your payment due date is very concerning. In today’s world, unexpected situations happen all the time, and people need flexibility during uncertain times. The roadside assistance customer service also needs significant improvement. I understand the company may still be growing, but customers are dealing with real-life emergencies and need reliable, responsive support. On top of that, the extra fees—especially the mileage charges added on top of other fees—are excessive and unreasonable. Overall, this experience has left me frustrated, and I hope the company makes meaningful improvements to better support its customers.

I strongly advise anyone considering Flexcar to think twice before signing up. The way the service is presented and the reality of how it operates are two very different things. What is not made sufficiently clear is that once you exceed your mileage allowance, additional charges can become due immediately. In my case, after going over my miles, I was informed that additional mileage would cost $100 per 100 miles. What was never adequately explained was that failure to pay those charges immediately could result in the vehicle being repossessed without warning. I had the vehicle for only three weeks when it was taken while I was at work. Imagine leaving for work with a vehicle and then discovering it has been removed before your rental period was even over. What makes the situation even worse is the handling of personal property left inside the vehicle. After the repossession, I was told I would have to wait for the security team to contact me regarding my belongings. That is completely unacceptable. If your company can move quickly enough to take the vehicle, there should be an immediate process in place for customers to retrieve their personal property. Being told to wait until it is convenient for the company while my belongings are locked away is beyond frustrating. I also disputed the decision not to reimburse any portion of my rental payment. Regardless of whether there was an outstanding balance, I did not receive the full rental period that I paid for. At the very least, any refund owed could have been applied toward the balance. Instead, I was left without the vehicle and without any reimbursement. The entire experience felt unprofessional, poorly communicated, and handled with little regard for the customer. The lack of transparency, the repossession process, the delay in returning personal belongings, and the refusal to address my concerns appropriately have left me extremely dissatisfied. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Flexcar to anyone. If you are considering renting through them, make sure you fully understand every fee, every policy, and every consequence before handing over your money. I would never use this service again, and I would strongly encourage others to proceed with extreme caution.
