Requirements:

MPD Pilot requires an MPD server for library browsing, queue management, and playback control.

Recent reviews

I’ve tried every MPD client out there, from the terminal, to web-based, to cross-platform, to others written in swift and purportedly Apple-native. MPD Pilot is better than all of them for my use case of setting up an old iPad as a single-app controller. It has every feature I need, plus an excellent local playback feature, with experimental snapcast support. Free version works great but I’m also quite happy to support the dev for their excellent work!

I have used this app back when it was free. I have a few mpd servers so the multi account was a really nice feature. I understand the need to make money and they moved to a pay app. Which was fine. I could control what I had set up. Now I see they have locked out all my setups accept the one I was using the most. So now if I want to control another server I had already setup in this app it is now locked out as a premium feature. You could have at least let people use it as it was setup That would have been nice.

So far it seems like almost everything works as expected, however I cannot get the local playback from an http stream to work. It connects fine but there’s no audio or option to choose output. So a great app for controlling mpd but I’ll need something else to listen to it
