User Reviews

Glory of Generals 3: WW2 is praised for engaging playability, value for money, and deep combat options, with long-term appeal. However, players report recurring stability and save/load bugs, progression blockers, weak diplomacy features, desire for more theatres (Pacific/World map) and content, and AI balance issues. Overall highly regarded but in need of bug fixes and expansion.
Pros
  • High playability and engaging strategic experience
  • Strong value for money and fair monetization
  • Deep combat options and strategic variety
  • Large-scale conquest maps delivering epic battles
  • Long-term replayability and players frequently return to the game over years
Cons
  • Frequent stability issues and crashes in conquest mode (loops back to turn)
  • Save/load problems and lost progress due to a weird save system
  • Weak or missing diplomacy/alliance features and limited alliance mechanics
  • Lack of content and maps; requests for Pacific/World theater and more unit variety
  • AI balance and behavior issues (difficult/unstable AI, reinforcement problems)

If there ever was a pay to play game that was worth the money, this one is it. Could still use some improvements, such as stacking fire in the same attack from multiple units. Been playing this one for years though.

This is a fabulous game, and I enjoy it for many reasons. Its playability is probably what I enjoy most. One request is that in conquest mode, allies’ cities may be returned to them maybe after 5-10 turns. Example: playing as France, I conquered many cities in Russia and other places, but it left these cities under my control for the entire game. Could the remaining allies possibly regain control of at least some of these after a while? Regardless, this is a very enjoyable game
