Recent reviews

I learned about PAKU while using the Watch Duty app to track all our regional wildfires. While learning to use PAKU I found that its AQI numbers seemed accurate to what we were experiencing with haze, sore throats, etc. On the PAKU map you can also see the air.gov sensors which offered “good” or “fair” readings when our noses were burning with smoke. PAKU’s readings are updated frequently, and they are what you see on the Watch Duty app. We use PAKU everyday now, sometimes several times a day.

Paku is my favorite air quality app. It’s easy to navigate along the map, and the many sensors offer precision. It’s amazing how different air quality can be within just a couple of miles! For some reason, the air quality app that is most widely used in my area considers factors from the EPA, and their numbers are often comparatively and tellingly low on a smoky day.
