I’ve tried guided meditations through apps like Headspace, waking up, one percent, and insight timer and the lengthy quiet moments between instructions were breeding grounds for a thought snowball to roll out of control. With Soundworks and some noise canceling headphones, I’m able to focus a lot more on the different sound textures and patterns which really helps keep those random thoughts from popping in my head. The daily sounds can be hit or miss but I’d say about 85% are pretty good. I’m still using headspace from time to time for more insightful meditations but soundworks does a better job at helping to narrow your focus to just your breath and your audial spatial awareness.
