Features & Capabilities

MXBus is a monitor mixing app for Behringer X32, X-Air and Midas M32 consoles that lets musicians control their own onstage monitor mix from iOS. It supports stereo channels, namable groups, automatic console discovery, channel reordering, and handy gestures like double-tapping a fader to set 0 and double-tapping panning to hard L/R.

MXBus PRO unlocks advanced meters (decayed meters with peak memory), compression meters, gate LEDs, unlimited groups, scenes, bus EQ, and bus compressor. NEW: Springboard and Lock Screen widgets for quicker access. The app is privacy-focused—no ads and no tracking.

User Reviews

MXBus is praised for rock-solid stability and a clean, approachable interface that makes on‑the‑fly IEM mixing easy, especially for volunteers. It supports X32/XR18 and offers straightforward controls. However, recurring connectivity problems, fader drift, and an aging UI with missing advanced features and occasional update bugs are the most mentioned drawbacks. The app remains a top choice for its simplicity and reliability when it connects, but reliability and feature completeness are inconsistent across reports.
Pros
  • Rock-solid stability on stage
  • Clean, simple, uncluttered UI that’s easy to navigate
  • Easy setup and reliable connectivity; good for volunteers
  • Focused IEM/mixer experience with intuitive controls (up/down) for quick adjustments
  • Supports Behringer X32/XR18 in a single app, simplifying workflow
Cons
  • Frequent connection/disconnection issues and UDP networking problems
  • Faders can move on their own or drift, undermining reliability
  • Outdated-looking UI with limited advanced features compared with other apps
  • Panning feature missing or not working in certain modes (demo/pro)
  • Bugs and inconsistent behavior after updates (e.g., changes not saved, bus EQ issues)

Hated the MX-Q app and then our tech guys told us about this one. Much nicer layout and appreciate the active developer. I upgraded to the Pro version to get access to Scenes so I could save my monitor mix. That function alone is worth the upgrade, as we have guest worship leaders who will use my pack and mess up my mix.

This is the best monitor mix app I have used. The latest update introduced a rotation bug where when you rotate away from landscape back to portrait it paints off the screen. Please fix!
