I have enjoyed this app and the stories within it for a long time now. However I have noticed that generative AI is being used and allowed by creators of stories and I think that is incredibly antithetical to the original ethos of this app. Which as for real artists + creatives to create enjoyable stories, stories and character from their brains and hands AND for these artists to get paid for their work/art. Not from a LLM that steals and plagiarizes from other artists and harms the earth. I will not pay money to these people who make ANY part of their stories with Generative Ai. Using Ai means that this is not solely their work. Even after submitting a support request, they confirmed that Ai usage IS ALLOWED “as long as it doesn’t go against guidelines”. I think that’s BS. When I first joined Dorian I remember their stance being that these are stories created by Real people, with real art and no Ai. What happened to that stance?
