Choices: Stories You Play

I’ve used this app for years without any problems. The last few months have been horrible. At one point every time I clicked a book the screen would go completely white and I’d have to close the app and reopen it (which also did not always work) in an attempt to gain access. While following their instructions & submitting screenshots (which went on for WEEKS), I had to repeat myself over and over and over again because they kept giving me the exact same “solutions” that did NOT work the first time. I’ve had to get my game over written twice, I’m being inhibited in using the app due to some update that hasn’t appeared. It takes forever to get to the bottom of every issue… they aren’t being very helpful and the last chat was literally this week and whoever was supposed to be helping me closed out the chat so that I couldn’t reply. The so called update that I’ve been waiting a good while for hasn’t appeared but the alert won’t let me access the books and they don’t even have an estimate for when I could or would actually have access to the update. I’m paying for a VIP membership and in the last few months I’ve hardly been able to use the app. This is bs. I just ended my subscription and unless some REAL changes are made I won’t be back.

The overall quality of the books has really been declining since heavily leaning into using AI. It’s not just the visual content that has been lacking, but more recently it’s the storytelling as well. They have shifted to telling shorter stories, which makes it harder for readers to really connect with the story, characters, etc. I would advise avoiding this app and try “Love and Magic: Spellfyre.” This was created by the original creators of Choices. The storytelling is phenomenal, and the artwork is stunning.
