User Reviews

Users appreciate the app for post-meal glucose insights and reduced finger-pricks, but reliability and usability are major concerns. Common issues include intrusive alarms, connectivity drops, limited historical data viewing, weak health integration, and sensor reliability problems. Some praise responsive support, but overall improvements in background operation, data accessibility, and accuracy are needed.
Pros
  • Provides valuable glucose trend data, especially post-meal insights, aiding meal planning and identifying foods that affect glucose.
  • Reduces the need for finger-prick testing by enabling continuous monitoring and convenience.
  • In some cases, support responsiveness helps resolve issues and improves the user experience.
Cons
  • Intrusive, non-customizable alarms and critical alerts that wake users and are hard to silence or tone down.
  • Frequent signal loss, connectivity issues, and slow data updates between the sensor and app.
  • Limited data history and graph interaction; cannot view exact past readings or scroll through the day; importing data from previous app is not straightforward.
  • Poor Apple Health/Watch integration and lack of background operation; app drains battery and does not run reliably in the background.
  • Sensor reliability and accuracy problems, including false readings and repeated sensor replacements or quality-check alerts.
Recent reviews
My original review was two stars because I thought the app was reliable, despite the fact that you are not able to turn off audible alerts. Now, three days in, the app has stopped communicating with the sensor. It’s impossible to know whether it’s the sensor or the app but I basically have a useless product and useless app. On the bright side, I’m not getting those annoying audible alerts! I’ve read other people’s reviews and this seems to be a common problem. It’s pathetic performance for a product with such an important job. Call me crazy, but I don’t think healthcare companies should be allowed to sell and market garbage to consumers. Bad job, Abbott!

Has serious accuracy issues, both on the bottom end and the top end. 20-25 point difference!! That pretty much messes up all the time in range and other reports. Not to mention reliability and trying to get under 7 A1C ! It sucks why they don’t enable calibrate like dexcom does with blood test results .

I think the experience would be much better if your blood glucose could be displayed on your lock screen.
