User Reviews

PHapp AZ is praised for centralizing health data, easy location switching, and privacy-preserving exposure alerts, with user-friendly design and travel-use value. However, its effectiveness is hampered by limited public rollout, barriers to reporting positive results, low adoption, and reliability bugs. Users want statewide availability, easier reporting, and broader awareness to unlock its full public health potential.
Pros
  • Centralized, one-stop access to health data, graphs, and test site information.
  • Easy location switching and support for multiple states/cities.
  • Privacy-preserving exposure notifications that help limit spread.
  • Comprehensive data visuals and broad information coverage (health metrics, weather, air quality).
  • User-friendly design that many users rely on daily or regularly.
Cons
  • Limited public rollout and state-wide availability; access is restricted to universities, reducing usefulness for many users.
  • Reporting a positive test requires an official Diagnostic Verification Code; many tests don’t provide such codes, blocking reporting.
  • Low user adoption/activation means few notifications and limited public health impact.
  • Bugs and reliability issues, including Bluetooth exposure problems and other UI glitches.

I have had this app on my phone for a long time and never taken the time to explore it. So much of this information I look for online in different places on line, now I realize it’s all been in one place!

This is one of the most useful apps I have. It gives graphs of CDC data for flu, rsv, and covid for your area, heat and storm and other weather alerts, air pollution too. It has lots of info and I use it almost daily. Also if I go on a trip I can look at flu or covid levels where I’m going. It’s easy to change location and see other states or cities. If you have a very active state health department, you can get other info too. It’s the best app ever.

I am using the product. I do not have any problems with the product, as presented. It does what it is supposed to do. Use it, if you don’t like it, delete it. It works for me.
