The planning phase of a conservation project is one of the most delicate and demanding stages in a conservator’s work. It is the moment when essential information about the artefact is collected, its condition is assessed, and the necessary interventions are defined with clarity and precision.

This process requires structure, accuracy and the ability to organise technical data in a coherent and professional way. However, preparing a project sheet can be time‑consuming, difficult to manage during on‑site inspections and often based on paper forms that are incomplete or not suited to real workflow needs. This app was created to address these challenges and provide conservation professionals with a modern, intuitive and always‑accessible tool.

Developed through the experience of conservator Chiara Argentino and the technical support of software engineer Stefano Ventrudo, the app allows users to structure a complete conservation project directly from an iPhone or iPad, streamlining the entire workflow. The interface guides the user through the three essential components of a conservation project: a concise yet accurate description of the artefact, a detailed condition report and a clear, structured list of planned interventions. Each section is designed to facilitate accurate compilation, reduce errors and ensure a final document that meets professional standards. This allows the conservator to focus on technical content without worrying about formatting or layout. One of the app’s key features is the ability to export a clean, well‑structured and fully editable PDF. This makes it easy to update the project at any time, share it with colleagues or institutions, archive it or integrate it into official documentation. The app is useful both during on‑site inspections and in the studio, ensuring continuity between observation, analysis and planning. The app is currently compatible exclusively with iPhone and iPad, offering a stable and optimised experience within the iOS ecosystem.
