Zonar MyView is a Chrome extension that helps parents customize Alert Zone settings and receive timely alerts to avoid getting stuck outside during inclement weather. It provides a real-time, map-based locator to track your child’s school bus and notifies you when the bus is approaching your zone, as well as when it arrives or departs. Plus, you can manage and share access with other caregivers.

Beyond tracking, MyView streamlines district communications by allowing districts to send messages about substitutions, delays, or closures. You can invite other caregivers, control who has access on which days, and protect privacy with district-issued access codes linked to your student’s private ID. If a bus substitution occurs, the app automatically updates so you’re always informed.

The app can show real-time bus location and alert you when the bus is near or enters a stop, making it convenient for getting kids to the bus on time. However, users report frequent reliability issues, missing or incorrect notifications, inaccurate location data, and poor support. In areas with good service it can work well, but recurring outages and setup/login problems erode trust and limit its usefulness.

It’s great it helps me know when my bus comes it does not really glitch for me but the only thing that is ehh is that sometimes I do not get notifications

This app is not reliable at all. Sometimes it will show the buses sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve sent at least five emails about the problems of not showing the buses or getting any notifications and I have not once been contacted back ever, very disappointed! If I could give it zero stars I would this is very sad because this is supposed to be able to help check your kids buses.
