Features & Capabilities

The Alfa Romeo Chrome extension brings Alfa Connect features to your browser, keeping you connected to your vehicle and in control wherever you are. It consolidates dealer access, ownership information, and vehicle services into a single, convenient hub.

Key features include My Dealer for finding and contacting your preferred dealership, My Garage and Digital Glovebox for owner manuals and service history, and Recall Alerts to stay ahead of open recalls. If your vehicle is equipped, you can remotely start or stop, lock or unlock doors, and activate the horn or exterior lights, along with navigation and safety options. An active Alfa Connect subscription is required for remote services, and remote use should comply with local laws.

User Reviews

Summary: Reviewers commonly report reliability issues (bugs, glitches, lag), flaky remote start, and missing or limited vehicle data (TPMS, fuel, health metrics) with the owners manual removed. Updates reportedly affect car-status visibility (locking, engine state) and location updates. Many express frustration with the subscription pricing and feature gating. A minority note occasional smooth operation and high-tech features when it works. Overall, the app struggles with consistency and data availability, impacting user satisfaction.
Pros
Cons
  • Frequent bugs, glitches, and overall slow/laggy performance indicating reliability issues across sessions.
  • Remote start often fails (first attempt or requires multiple tries) with inconsistent functionality.
  • Missing or limited vehicle data (TPMS, fuel level, oil, health metrics) and disappearance of the owner's manual.
  • Subscription pricing is perceived as outrageous or unfair, with features gated behind a paid model.
  • Updates seem to affect car-status visibility (doors locked, engine on/off) and location updates, reducing real-time awareness.

Can you guys add a way to see the charging status and percentage on the apple watch app?

This app has all the functionality of an early 90s DIY website, and the speed of a 56k modem to match. It’s riddled with bugs and glitches, has more ads than useful functions, and if you need to contact customer support you will need to take several weeks off work so you can focus on navigating the problem full time. You’d expect more when you work really hard and decide to spring for an Alfa Romeo, but you’ll find better, smoother, prettier apps for cars that cost half the price. Disappointing is an understatement.
