2026-04-18 Gr***** Update: I am finding this app useful. It coild use a few tweaks, but on the whole pretty darn good. It’s a pretty common occurrence to have some one ask me if we have any x. If I’m diligent I have everything put in & can tell them yes/no & how much. I can also check the list of things about to expire & make sure to use them in my meal plan. This is especially useful w freezer stuff. Our chest freezer buries things. I can use this app to keep track of the underneath. Last time I went through the kitchen I threw away so much expired food. I am hoping using & maintaining this app will help me avoid that kind of waste.

2026-01-24 Ri***** As of today, 1/24/2026, this app has every feature I was looking for in a food tracking app. It allows you to track nutrition info, quantities per package in every type of measurement, expiration dates and store dates. You can scan item’s barcodes and have many storage locations. There is no paywall and no limits, they just have an option to tip them (which you should do, because every other app has fewer features + paywalls). Really pleased with the UI of this app as well, it’s very modern and easy to use. I don’t leave reviews typically but I was losing hope in finding an app with all the features I wanted for free, and then I found this one!

2025-12-13 Dr***** Some things about the app are quite good, but day to day use in finding stored items is not intuitive. It allows you to log items into it pretty easily and then add items to specific locations, ie kitchen freezer, basement freezer, etc. But retrieving them later isn’t obvious or simple. For example, if you want to find the 3 pound package of ground beef you bought 3 months ago, you actually have to remember the location you placed an item (ie basement freezer) and then search within that location in order for the app to tell you the specific place where the package can be found (ie shelf three). This is an important limitation. You can store items by location, but it doesn’t not have a basic “find item” or “view location” on the home page to make this an easy process.

2025-10-05 jo***** There is no place in the app to leave feedback (that I could find), also, I can’t use the barcode scanner at all (tried from the Storage screen). I keep getting this error: “Whoops... Barcode scanner is not available when the application is on SplitView or SlideOver mode”. I’m not doing anything of the sort! Update: I updated to iOS 20.0.1 which just came out and this is now fixed 👌

2025-07-20 MK***** I really want to like this app and I do for the most part. That being said, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to indicate that I have actually prepared the recipe and that the app should deduct items from my inventory. Because of this, I have had to check and recheck my inventory against what it says in the app as I have no confidence in its’ accuracy. I will be looking for a different app soon.

2025-07-01 iO***** Great potential although unintuitive and confusing at times. - Can’t add url to a product unless it is already in your inventory. - Can’t link a product to multiple stores. So it requires managing same items for different lists at times (and don’t seem to save the metadata for the item so have to reset). - Also some confusion between shopping lists and stores. Usually I create one list for a store, so having both shopping lists and stores feels redundant. If a list item could belong to multiple stores than it might be quite useful and it would let you see where else you buy it. Ideally tracking different prices for each store so you could comparison shop. - Discount needs a percentage and flat rate option — currently only supports dates (which is nice to have). - Also a splash of color to the UI would be a nice touch — like different colored backgrounds and/or accents for each list. - Can’t add a new shopping item to a list on the watch. - Lastly like more operations to be performed from contextual menu. - On the plus side … - Has a nice and working Apple Watch app with complications - A lot under the hood like inventory management, barcode scanning, expiration tracking and recipe storage that some may find useful. - Activiely developed. Watched it grow and continually be enhanced over the years. - Beautiful app icon. On the whole can’t really complain too much because the app is free with tip jar to support development. Hopefully these seeming criticisms will be taken constructively and used to improve the app for future updates. Can’t help but still give it 5 stars, because it’s one of the only decent shopping lists with a well designed Apple Watch apps that lets you switch lists from the watch and doesn’t seem to suffer from slow or unstable iCloud issues many other apps do. Plus again, it’s free. And loaded with other features I’ve yet to fully explore.

2025-06-13 iP***** Been using the app for over a year to organize 2 freezers. It is a great way to check/manage inventory (including at the grocery store or when planning meals). The trick is anyone adding or removing from the freezer has to update the app to keep it current (user issue). We print the inventory & keep it on the freezer door (in the basement). My one major suggestion is to allow the printing of tag info when printing the inventory. I use tags to denote where to find the item - on what shelf or tub within which freezer. Currently I print the inventory list (which includes quantity, item, & expiration date) & then I hand write the tag info onto the list before I hang it on the freezer. Thank you for a great solution to manage freezer food!

2025-04-08 Be***** Once I got everything set up, this has been so helpful. We’ve gotten rid of expired food we’d never eat & now our food waste is significantly reduced. Also, “cooking from the freezer” has made us more creative and we order out less frequently.
