User Reviews

MyWhoosh is a free Zwift-like indoor cycling app praised for its visuals and flexible workouts, with easy setup. However, it struggles with connectivity issues, frequent updates, performance bugs, and content limitations (few routes, no MTB/Gravel, no Garmin sync). Overall it's a valuable no-cost option but needs polish and expanded capabilities.
Pros
  • Free to use (for now) with a Zwift-like experience.
  • Graphics and route visuals are appealing.
  • Workout flexibility: you can mix any workout with any route and get real-time cues.
  • Easy to set up and use.
  • Seen as a strong Zwift alternative without a subscription.
Cons
  • Frequent connectivity issues with trainers/sensors (ANT+, cadence, ERG mode) and devices.
  • Too many app updates and install times causing delays or instability.
  • Performance bugs: lag, freezes, crashes on multiple devices/platforms.
  • Content limitations: limited routes, no MTB/Gravel, some routes time-locked, no Garmin sync.
  • UI/UX polish and onboarding could be improved (sign-up friction, cluttered visuals, navigation).

The app is great. I love the different training options, the professional trainer videos, and honestly, biking with Vincent Luis is awesome. The app is stable and always works. I don’t really care much about group rides or competition, so I can’t speak to that part, but for structured workouts, it is the best app I have used. And the best part? It is free. Honestly, I don’t understand why everyone hasn’t moved here yet.

I downloaded this app a while ago, and after some use I have some feedback. First, the maps take quite a while to download, even on Wi-Fi 5. The largest maps aren’t even that big-just a gigabyte in size. Yet the app, unlike any other reasonable piece of software, decided to copy the files one…painfully…slow…chunk…at…a…time. Even on an iPad Air equipped with an M4 chip, it’s just painfully slow. Another complaint is that it does not support older iPad models, such as my iPad 7th generation. I could use the Air, but at that point I might as well just cast my phone screen to the TV. One last thing to mention-you can’t change your email after signing up. If you mess up the email or changed one, you’ll have to make an entirely new account, wiping your data. Other than that, it’s a great experience.

I run your app on a MacBook Air with an Apple Chip. Further to Apple all apps based on other other chips won’t be accesable after the next IOS upgrade. Do you have a solution?
