Features & Capabilities

EDDMapS is a fast, user-friendly mapping system for documenting invasive species distributions without requiring GIS experience. Launched in 2005 by the University of Georgia's Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health, it maximizes accessibility to observation data and now powers this Chrome extension, giving quick in-browser access to the EDDMapS tools for researchers, managers, and educators.

Users submit observations through a standardized form, attach images, and have data immediately loaded for expert verification. Once approved, data are available for viewing and download to visualize current distributions and track invasive species as they move into new areas, supporting Early Detection and Rapid Response efforts.

The app keeps crashing after selecting my state and whenever I return to the app, the state selection is still there and keep crashing after each selection is made

After selecting my state in the map (Georgia) it freezes and goes nowhere. Thankfully, there is a website that does what the app does.

I am not understanding why Johnson Grass is not appearing in the plant list (as invasive)
