User Reviews

Users commonly praise the app for remote monitoring and control of kids' screen time and content, including notifications and PC access. However, many reviews repeatedly mention significant reliability problems (bugs, freezes, loading issues), persistent sign-in/authentication failures, and screen-time rules that don’t reliably apply or sync. Feature gaps like per-device limits and easier approval workflows also stand out. Overall, the concept is valuable, but persistent performance and usability issues hinder daily use.
Pros
  • Remote monitoring and control of my child’s screen time and content from my iPhone.
  • Ability to edit times, block access, and approve more time with real-time notifications.
  • Helpful for providing kids with managed PC access.
  • High perceived usefulness when it works.
Cons
  • Frequent bugs and stability problems (freezes, crashes, loading issues).
  • Sign-in/authentication problems and password-reset loops (e.g., 'it's not you, it's us').
  • Screen time rules frequently don’t apply correctly or fail to sync/update (delays in approvals, limits not unlocking).
  • Missing features like per-device limits and a simpler in-app approval workflow.

Why would you remove this and put it on a webpage??? Now I have to go check an email and go to a website to give me son more screen time. Before I got alerts from the app and it was easy to adjust! Please put this feature back or at least add it to the xbox app!

No wonder Microsoft has been doing nothing but losing money. This is pure trash. On the dumpster fire that is the Xbox/Microsoft/Live website, it says you download this app so I can change age restrictions for my son’s profile. Then when I use the app, it says that those settings are on the website. So I click on the website link and you know what it says? It says the settings are in the app. Microsoft and Xbox - you deserve to be in the free fall that you are.
