User Reviews

Users praise the app for its feature-rich design, barcode access, linked accounts, and modern UI, and note ease of searching for events. However, widespread login problems (frequent sign-outs, unreliable credentials, and forgetful card/PIN handling) and general glitches heavily hamper usability. Sentiment is mixed but leans negative due to instability and preference for the old app, though some improvements were observed after the Spring 2026 update.
Pros
  • Rich feature set beyond basic lookup (checkouts, holds, fines) across linked accounts
  • Easy access to library card barcode and linked accounts with improved scanning
  • Modern, visually pleasing UI design
  • Ease of searching for library events and activities
  • Some users note improvements and fixes after the Spring 2026 update
Cons
  • Frequent sign-in and staying logged out; the app signs you out after leaving the app
  • Login credentials unreliable in the app (works on the website but not in the app)
  • Credentials (library card number/PIN) often need re-entry and aren’t remembered
  • General glitches and instability (crashes, scanner issues, inconsistent behavior) impede regular use
  • Many users want the old app back due to QA concerns and overall poorer experience with the update

This used to be a useful app but the new update is frustrating. It does look nicer, but it signs you out every time you leave the app so that you have to re-enter your info every time. The new list feature stops working if you try to add a second item to the list. I do like the easy searching for library events and activities, but I miss the basic functionality of the former version. Update: as of spring 2026, many of these problems have been corrected. The list feature works now and is a good way to track books and the app is better about staying logged in.

Changing this back to one star. Same old bug of login issues even if my credentials works via the browser it does not work via the app. I feel the QA process needs a total revamp before releasing an app update. Very disappointing.

I’m really impressed by the amount of functionality they packed into the app. This is the library app that I’ve used that wasn’t just basic book lookup. It has been stable, and every feature has worked flawlessly. Honestly, this is great work.
