User Reviews

Overall, users praise NaturalReader for its natural voices, broad voice options, and usefulness for studying, accessibility, and turning text into audio. It’s easy to use and supports converting ebooks, manuals, notes, and photos into spoken content. However, repeated concerns center on the cost: the paywall and limited free voices frustrate many users, with some feeling the free options are degraded. Reliability also emerges as an issue, with reports of crashes and glitches. Complex documents like PDFs with tables can behave poorly. Despite these drawbacks, many reviewers view it as a game changer when price and stability improve.
Pros
  • Wide variety of natural-sounding voices
  • Great for studying and accessibility (ADHD/dyslexia)
  • Easy to use with a solid UI/workflow
  • Can turn ebooks, manuals, notes into audiobooks (and read from photos)
  • Supports multiple languages/accents and realistic AI voices
Cons
  • Expensive subscription/paywall with limited free voices
  • Free options degraded or not accessible (built-in iPhone voices no longer available)
  • Stability issues: crashes, glitches, unreliable performance

This app runs like the internet did in the early 2000. It is a shame you even put this garbage out. The interface is glitchy and very unresponsive. Selecting a voice and then trying to upload anything is a straight chore. DO BETTER!

It’s really helpful if your your a slow reader, or not to fond of reading. It’s even helpful if you have things to do but still want to read! You can play this in the background while multitasking..I think their prices can be lower though.
