User Reviews

Users praise the app for being easy to use and its strong integration with Loftie hardware, especially for sleep routines. However, recurring issues with stability, connectivity, and updates—along with alarm malfunctions and subscription barriers—consistently appear across reviews. The combination of unreliable performance and limited support undermines the otherwise useful sleep features across clock and lamp.
Pros
  • Easy to use and navigate
  • Great integration with Loftie clock and lamp for synchronized wakeups and ambiance
  • Sleep-oriented features (gentle wake, sunrise lighting, rain sounds) that support bedtime routines
Cons
  • Frequent reliability and stability issues with the app and Loftie devices (bugs, restarts, alarms not behaving)
  • Connectivity and Wi-Fi problems, including frequent disconnections and cloud sync failures
  • Updates frequently break features or cause instability, making the app worse over time
  • Alarm management problems (alarms not saving, turning on/off unexpectedly, needing restarts)
  • Subscription gating features and perceived lack of responsive customer support (AI bot, slow/hard-to-reach assistance)

Please add a way for us to put our own custom music/sounds as an alarm sound. Put it behind the membership or something, I’ll pay for it. Also an update back in April killed my saved alarms and settings on my alarm and the process to reconnect my phone to my alarm was very tedious.

TL;DR: If you’re thinking about buying Loftie, do not. It’s a half-baked money grab. Where to begin? I made the mistake of buying the Loftie clock years ago. There is so much bad about this product that it’s difficult to cover. To start with, the app is terribly designed. It’s clear they cheaped out to build a single cross-platform app that feels out of place on iOS and is clunky to navigate. Right out of the gate, they try to upsell you to a subscription. For an alarm clock. And this experience will persist throughout using the app - constantly trying to get you to sign up to their service. After you’ve already paid too much for an alarm clock. And then the clock itself is not well designed, not made. You can set a single brightness level for the screen. Want to be able to read it during the day? Prepare to be kept awake at night. Set it dim for the evening and you won’t be able to read it at all during the day. This device is supposed to be built around the notion of day and night and can’t get the basics right. The buttons on the top of the clock are made from non-UV stable plastic, so they turn yellow over time. It really gives it that premium feel that you pay so much for. The screen backlight can be switched between white and red, which is a nice touch. But to switch, you have to *reboot the device*. It really feels like they used the cheapest industrial design house they could to make this thing, and then have worked to milk it for as much as possible. Avoid at all costs.
