User Reviews

Users praise AthenaOne for mobile access to schedules, charts, and labs on the phone, and some feel it’s easier to use on mobile and sometimes faster than alternatives. The ambient feature is valued as a time saver when it works. However, a core set of recurring problems undermines the experience: frequent login/session issues, frequent crashes and the need for repeated app updates, and several missing essential capabilities (billing, scheduling, signing notes, vitals). Support is often slow or perceived as unhelpful. Device update blockers on iOS also hinder access. Overall, it’s usable but unstable with significant feature gaps.
Pros
  • Mobile access to schedules, charts, and patient data on the phone, reducing the need for a laptop.
  • Ambient feature is a time saver when it works.
  • Easy to learn and use after getting the basics down.
  • Overall perceived as better than some competing apps.
  • Quick, convenient viewing of patient information and notes when functioning properly.
Cons
  • Frequent login/session expiration and repeated re-logins.
  • Frequent crashes and the necessity of constant app updates to keep it working.
  • Missing essential features such as billing/charging, scheduling/appointment management, and ability to sign notes or controlled substances.
  • Slow or unhelpful support with long response times.
  • iOS update blockers or device compatibility issues preventing use.

Worked fine for months, now won't let me log in. Immediately says "your session expired" and takes me back to log in screen - rinse, repeat. Can't wait to not have access for 4 business days until I get a response to my support ticket, which will just be the incompetent support tech asking me a question already addressed in the ticket, so I can wait 4 more days for them to respond, etc.

Uninstalled and reinstalled for it to work again. Also when are they releasing the android version. They’ve been talking about it for years.

Since you are requiring an update not available for my iPhone, I can no longer use this app. Worse less now.
