User Reviews

Users like NYC DCP for its user-friendly design and clear retirement/balance information, with strong tracking and helpful insights. However, many reviews repeatedly cite reliability issues, especially with login and session stability, plus glitches and slow response. MFA/2FA friction and prompts complicate access. UI updates raise accessibility concerns (font size, landscape support) and prompt some to prefer the older interface. A subset also desires more historical data/graphs and notes that some actions require using the website. Overall, usefulness and clarity compete with significant reliability and usability drawbacks.
Pros
  • User-friendly, intuitive interface and easy navigation
  • Clear retirement information and real-time balance tracking
  • Detailed data and insights that help retirement planning and save time
  • Generally positive app quality and strong usefulness
Cons
  • Frequent login issues and session logouts, making authentication unreliable
  • Glitches, navigation challenges, and slow performance
  • Multi-factor authentication (2FA/MFA) friction and intrusive prompts
  • Accessibility concerns in updates (smaller font, lack of landscape mode) and a preference for the old UI
  • Some users report the app redirects to the website for changes and prefer a more integrated experience

I very rarely review an app or website. But this one is horrendous. It is very difficult to move money around in your accounts. It is very difficult to find historical data. I tried moving some money into a PCRA and have not been able to complete that on the website or on the app. And I’d like to think that I’m pretty good with websites and apps for this one I think just puts up barriers. I think I’m gonna move all my money at it here into Schwab
