User Reviews

Fans consistently praise Midnight Girl for its engaging story and lovable characters, beautiful visuals, and accessible puzzles. The price, with a demo and 12 chapters for about $6, is widely considered a strong value, and the atmosphere is described as immersive and chill. The main caveats are its short length and a strong desire for a sequel or more chapters. Some players also note puzzle repetition or backtracking (escape-room vibes) and occasional lack of hints. Overall, a solid, narrative-driven puzzle adventure with broad appeal and room to grow.
Pros
  • Engaging storyline with likable characters
  • Beautiful visuals/animation and art style
  • Fun, accessible puzzles that aren't overly hard
  • Good value for money (demo available; 12 chapters for about $6)
  • Immersive, chill atmosphere and pacing
Cons
  • Short length; ends quickly and many want more chapters or a sequel
  • Puzzles can feel repetitive or too easy (escape-room vibe) with backtracking
  • Lack of hints or guidance in tricky sections (labyrinth)
  • Overall pace/difficulty may be too easy for some puzzle enthusiasts

The game is fine. As a game it’s never particularly interesting. You just click around at any given stage until the only thing you can do next presents itself. It’s more a visual novel. Which is great, except it’s a very short one. I had barely gotten into it before the whole thing was over.
