User Reviews

Users broadly praise Agent A for its engaging, solvable puzzles, strong spy-themed story, and polished visuals with solid controls. The main drawbacks are a noticeable paywall gating most content and a very short free portion, along with frustrations over chapter release pacing. Overall, it’s a beloved, well-made puzzle adventure with clear affection for a potential sequel.
Pros
  • Puzzles are well-designed, balanced, and solvable, offering a satisfying challenge without being overly hard.
  • The game has a strong spy-themed story with a cohesive, engaging plot and atmospheric visuals.
  • Highly enjoyable experience with good length and replay value; considered one of the best escape-style puzzle games.
  • Solid controls and mechanics, along with appealing, colorful visuals and thoughtful level design.
  • Displays strong fan interest for a sequel/Agent B, indicating lasting appeal and potential future installments.
Cons
  • Pay-to-unlock model gates most chapters, with the majority requiring purchase (perceived as expensive).
  • The free portion is very short, giving only a small amount of gameplay before paying.
  • Release pacing of chapters can be frustrating, with anticipation for new chapters (e.g., Chapter 5) and delays noted.

This was such a fun game. I only got stumped a few times. BUT, I hate that chapter five ends with a set up for a sequel following agent B because it seems like the game studio has now said that they have no plans of making a sequel at this time. This is such a great game, but without there being a sequel I’m left feeling like I spent 5 bucks just for the game to zip on by.

Gameplay deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as House of Da Vinci or The Room. Its engaging.
