User Reviews

User reviews largely flag the iOS Atera app as unstable and difficult to use in the field. The most common complaints are login loops and MFA issues, frequent logouts, and white screens that prevent interaction with tickets or data. Many report limited functionality and poor mobile UX compared with the web version, with slow performance and stale data. A minority find value when it works—especially with SSO in some setups or for viewing devices/sites on the go—but the app needs major stability and feature improvements to be reliable daily.
Pros
  • SSO can reduce login issues for some users.
  • The mobile app allows viewing devices and sites on the go, aiding field work.
  • For those who also use the desktop version, it complements workflow by enabling access away from a desk.
Cons
  • Frequent login failures and loops, including MFA prompts that don’t appear or block access.
  • App logs out often and requires re-authentication, making notifications unreliable.
  • White/blank screens on login or when interacting with tickets, causing unresponsive UI.
  • Limited functionality on mobile and missing many features from the web version.
  • Overall reliability issues: slow performance, data not refreshing, and occasional crashes.

Absolute trash, to this day. Still cannot login.

The app “works” but is very limited in features. This in itself is not a huge dealbreaker because it’s understood to be a companion to the website, but what I can’t tolerate is the app keeps logging out on its own and then won’t allow me to log in again *every time* on my own phone and iPad, requiring me to go through hoops receiving an email and logging in from the browser. This makes notifications useless as they don’t arrive if the app is logged out.
