Record3D — 3D Videos lets you create true volumetric clips from your iPhone or iPad using FaceID or LiDAR. You can export videos in common 3D formats (FBX, glTF, PLY, OBJ, Alembic) and also generate RGBD MP4s for depth-enabled displays. AR viewing brings a True3D effect, letting you see 3D scenes through your screen.

For artists and developers, there are streaming options: USB RGBD streaming to a computer with open-source C++/Python libraries, plus a LAN-based Wi-Fi Streaming Extension Pack. All processing and data stay on-device with privacy-first design, and the app offers 3 free 3D videos to try before purchase. Note that color maps and the True3D feature are part of the full version.

Been looking for something like this for awhile, stoked that this exists. Crashes on me a lot while exporting but not to the point where it’s unusable. Highly recommend for touchdesigner

It’s meh for what it does, although when I tried displaying a video, it showed a strange grey square instead of the video, and lagged my entire phone to the point where I had to completely forcefully restart it. Update 1/16/2026 I bought the $5 version and it doesn't work.
