User Reviews

Users praise the app’s hardware integration with Arboleaf scales and the ability to use the scale without logging in, but multiple reviews highlight severe data quality and usability issues. The nutrition data is unreliable, barcode scanning often fails, and the food database is inconsistent. Onboarding and region setup can be broken, and the UI lacks guidance, with bugs in favorites management. Feature gaps like net carbs/fiber tracking and variable support further detract from the experience.
Pros
  • No login required to use the scale, allowing quick access without account setup.
  • Works with the Arboleaf food scale and can function as a remote display, showing measurements.
  • Strong hardware integration between the app and the scale (reliable connectivity).
Cons
  • Nutrition data and macros are frequently inaccurate or inconsistent, especially in recipes.
  • Barcode/food database is unreliable; many items aren’t found or return incorrect nutrition data, and some scans only link to product websites.
  • Usability is not intuitive; lacks clear instructions or a manual, with issues in finding foods and managing My Favorites (display/ordering bugs).
  • Sign-up/region setup flow is broken or incomplete, preventing progress during onboarding.
  • Missing essential features (net carbs, fiber tracking) and some features removed in updates; support responses often lacking.

The required recording in grams is like taking hand grenades to fish with. Super over kill. I am an SI guy in my job and realize that mg become kg become the next biggest measure mega grams or some other absurd measure. A few grams eight way doesn’t matter. What about the beits that use pounds and stones. Please make it user friendly and a warm happy place to trust. With just g I feel like I’m I’m sterile lab with trudging thru the line. Otherwise a truly brilliant app. It is truly friendly and inspired

Fix the damn app . It registers the calories for an item INCORRECTLY. What do you mean the mayo I used 37g of is only 13 calories when 15g is 35 calories????? I bought this to help me keep track of my calorie intake. It's one job and it doesn't do it right . Fix it .

Nice that login isn’t required to use scale at all, but makes no sense for trends. Shouldn’t need to log in just to see trends in LOCAL data when I can just send that data to Apple Health app and see trends there - there’s no “value added”, you’re just data mining email addresses.
