User Reviews

Bridge Mentor delivers solid teaching content and handy practice features, with clear explanations and an easy-to-use interface. Reviewers praise its hand replay, competition mode, and the chance to observe others’ bidding to improve their game. However, recurring issues include subscription verification problems and slow or missing customer support, plus a desire for more advanced bidding options (intermediate bids, Blackwood). When access works, it’s a strong learning tool, but users may encounter access problems and feature gaps that affect longer-term use.
Pros
  • Generally reliable and smooth performance on iPad.
  • Clear explanations and rationale for bidding and card play, aiding learning.
  • Powerful practice tools including hand replay and competition mode, plus the ability to review how others bid and play.
  • Easy to use and intuitive interface.
Cons
  • Subscription verification problems; the app sometimes treats paying subscribers as non-subscribed, with slow or no support responses.
  • Bidding system is confusing and lacks advanced options (needs intermediate bids, Blackwood, etc.).
  • Customer support responsiveness concerns (delayed or absent responses to inquiries).

I’ve had a paid subscription for at least 2 years and suddenly the app is treating me as if I don’t subscribe despite my cc being charged monthly! I have emailed twice and gotten no response. I am giving it another week, then I am canceling and deleting the app! So disappointed.

This is fundamentally a good app. Plays bridge pretty well. My biggest gripe is that it repeatedly will not connect to the App Store and verify subscription. I have tried rebooting my phone. No joy. It is annoying to have this app not work when you want it to.

The bidding uses too many different conventions and often confuses itself as well as me. And then my partner takes my tricks like I’m on a different team…
