Dabble is a versatile Bluetooth controller app for Arduino, ESP32 and evive. It transforms your smartphone into a powerful hardware control panel by using built-in sensors (GPS, mic, accelerometer) and a growing set of modules to control and communicate with hardware over Bluetooth. It also includes Scratch- and Arduino-compatible projects to help you learn by doing.

Current modules include LED brightness control, Terminal for text and voice commands, Gamepad (analog/digital/accelerometer), Pin State Monitor, and Phone Sensor access. Coming soon: Motor Control, Inputs, Camera, IoT, Oscilloscope, Music, and Projects. Dabble supports boards like evive, Arduino Uno/Mega/Nano, and ESP32, with HM-10 BLE compatibility. Permissions include Bluetooth, Microphone, and Location.

Gamepad UI often fails to load or shows only arrows; on iPhone the gamepad can be unusable and UI may break after updates (notably iOS 16).

Bluetooth connectivity can be unreliable (pairing difficulties, no obvious sync button, inconsistent auto-connect).
Lag or input glitches (robot may move without input; joystick can reset when action buttons are pressed).

I don’t know what anyone would complain about especially when it’s free. It works fantastic with my robot arm that I built. I wish I could modify the game pad controller a little bit so when I press the start or select button that I have assigned for fine step motor function a little dialogue box could pop up and give the user notes, but I’m not complaining. Five stars! Thank you guys for making this app and bringing joy to my life. I’m grateful for everyone involved in making this beautiful app
