Features & Capabilities

Spite & Malice is the ultimate sequential card game, also known as Skip-Bo or Cat and Mouse. The goal is to discard all cards from your stock pile by building up to four building piles in ascending order (Ace through Queen). The deck uses two 52-card packs, with twelve of each rank from Ace to Queen and eighteen King wild cards that can be played as any rank to help you beat your opponents.

This Chrome extension brings Spite & Malice to life with online multiplayer, private rooms, local and global play, AI opponents, a guided tutorial, and leaderboards. Earn coins by spinning and watching videos, invite friends to private rooms, and challenge players worldwide in quick, relaxing matches.

User Reviews

Players praise the game for engaging, authentic Spite & Malice gameplay and strong family-friendly appeal. However, recurring complaints center on online matches that use bots instead of real players, a restrictive move timer, and reliability issues (crashes, white screens, glitches). Some request a true two-player mode, better chat, and basic stats tracking. Overall, the app is enjoyable but needs improvements in multiplayer authenticity, stability, and customization.
Pros
  • Highly engaging gameplay that leads to long play sessions.
  • Feels like the real Spite & Malice with an authentic gameplay experience.
  • Great for family and friends; popular social play.
  • Well-implemented and enjoyable to use.
Cons
  • Online matches are dominated by bots instead of real players (chat and interaction issues noted).
  • Move timer is too short; users want the option to extend or disable it.
  • Frequent reliability issues like crashes, white screens, and glitches.

I don’t want to play a solitaire game where I have to sit through 3 computer players. Where is an option for two players dingdong’s?

The “offline mode” does not work. I used to like this game, now it is frustrating being unable to play in my first choice.
