User Reviews
Pros
- Provides early warnings with seconds of lead time before shaking
- Can be life-saving by giving time to take protective actions
- Free to use, a readily available safety tool
- Particularly useful in earthquake-prone regions (e.g., California)
Cons
- Frequent false or distant alerts that wake users unnecessarily
- No user controls to set minimum magnitude or alert sensitivity
- Alerts can be very loud and disruptive, waking users in the middle of the night
- Reliability is inconsistent across devices; some users don’t receive alerts
- Inaccurate local information (epicenter/distance) or non-local alerts

Literally, had an earthquake less than a 2 miles away & this app recorded nothing. Not a surprise. Just time to delete this app.

I went on a Caribbean cruise and in the middle of the night we were awakened in the middle of the night by an alert for a moderate quake in California that wasn’t even felt at our home, we checked. Another middle of the night alert at home was completely false, terrifying me for no reason.
Please add device tracking for better accuracy.

I really like the fact that this app can notify users before an earthquake, which is very useful for earthquake prone areas like California. Although, I would like you to at least consider the following suggestion. I think you should have 2 alert variants. 1 is for the magnitude 4.5 to 6.5 and let out an alert that is the same volume as the current one, but it sounds a little less urgent. The other would be for magnitude 6.6+ and would be the same volume but sound very alarming to signal to users to watch out.
