User Reviews

Overall, users highly value Tom Bradford’s deep, Hebraic, verse-by-verse teaching and the free, multi-modal format (video, transcripts, slides) that supports note-taking and learning on the go. However, multiple reviews report issues after updates, including losing track of study progress, transcript readability on mobile, and occasional no-data/offline errors. Despite these hiccups, many users cite the app’s educational value and note that fixes and improvements have been made, keeping Torah Class a strong resource for Bible study.
Pros
  • Tom Bradford’s teaching is compelling and deeply insightful, linking Old Testament context to New Testament understanding.
  • In-depth Bible study with a clear Hebraic perspective, verse-by-verse explanations.
  • Content is freely accessible, offering a rich library without a paywall.
  • Multi-modal learning: watch, read, or listen with slides, transcripts, and note-taking.
  • Playback features and accessibility improvements (audio for commutes, forward/back controls, and adjustable speed) with responsive updates.
Cons
  • Stability and progress-tracking issues after updates: app sometimes loses your place or returns to Genesis.
  • Transcript/display usability problems on mobile: orientation flip not working and small/readability issues.
  • Intermittent data/offline errors: occasional 'no data' messages and trouble staying online.
  • Overall reliability can be spotty on some devices (e.g., performance varies).

I have struggled with Many stories from the Old Testament. Mr Bradford’s explaination is by far the most compelling I’ve heard yet tying the Old Testament meaning to the New Testament. He excels at explaining from the mindset of those in the time in which the story was recorded. I feel a much closer in my relationship and understanding with the father, son and spirit after listening to his teachings. Also, it’s a great resource for slides and I’m thankful for the audio as I can listen on my workday commutes. Thank you for offering this for free. I recommend it often to friends who are looking for spiritual growth and understanding.

Update: since the latest version was pushed out, the issues previously stated below have been fixed! Great job, guys. Reading is much easier now and I’m diving head first back into the study almost everyday. Thanks for listening to your followers and making improvements. I have changed my rating to 5 stars! Original review: I love this class. It has been so inspiring to read and learn and Tom Bradford is a fantastic teacher. My only complaint is the updated app doesn’t flip the transcript horizontal when you turn your phone. The older version did and made it easier to read. I’m guessing this is a bug that just needs fixed. The vertical is too small for me to read and enlarging the text forced me to swipe back and forth to read the sentence. Please fix so I can continue with my study!! On a positive note about 2.0, it doesn’t revert back to the home page and lose your place of you let it sit idle for a day. All in all, this teaching is a must for Christians and Hebrews who want to know their past, how it applies to our present, and most importantly what to expect for the future.
