Therapeer: Peer Support Groups

Give and receive Peer support

Features & Capabilities

Therapeer is a private, anonymous emotional support platform where you can give or receive help. As a Peer you support others through a private group chat, and as a Host you can open a private Support Room where three experienced Peers focus on your needs. Interactions remain anonymous, and you can earn kudos to unlock your own room free of charge. Topics include Marriage Problems, Divorce, Depression, Anxiety, and more.

Why Therapeer? It complements traditional therapy by offering flexible, confidential, and timely support focused on your emotional well-being. How it works: join as a Peer to support others, or create a private Support Room and be matched with others who share similar experiences. This creates a sense of community and empowerment when you need it most.

User Reviews

The app is praised for a supportive, non-judgmental peer community that provides real-time help and useful resources, helping users feel less alone. However, safety concerns, maintenance gaps, and reliability problems—such as poor moderation, unresponsive support, login/notification glitches, and flaky chat experiences—undermine usability. Overall, users report meaningful positive impact from peer support, but governance and reliability issues hinder consistent, safe use.
Pros
  • Strong sense of community with relatable, supportive peers.
  • Non-judgmental listening and real-time support that helps users feel less alone.
  • Peers share helpful information and resources that can be useful.
  • Overall positive impact and encouragement reported by users.
Cons
  • Safety and governance concerns due to lack of admin/moderation and inappropriate ads.
  • Ongoing maintenance and support issues, with moderators lounge non-operational and slow or unresponsive support.
  • Connectivity and UX problems: delays joining chats, chats ending abruptly, and confusing navigation.
  • Frequent technical issues: login errors and notifications not working; inability to delete account.
  • Perceived abandonment or neglect of the app by developers.
Recent reviews
This app is largely for people who are still struggling with their own issues trying to help others with similar or different issues. Beware thesr aren’t professionals and some folks can project a lot of their bad experiences onto yours and offer bad advice for things they couldn’t resolve themselves or still struggle with. It’s a good app to vent but not for solid advice.

This had potential once, but as it’s been completely abandoned it’s now a legit liability Sexual predators open flaunt their behavior, no administration of the app exists at all. There’s people advertising bdsm chats next request for help from sexual assault victims Hope someone steps in and shuts this abandoned train down before it runs off the tracks and hurts more people
