I’ve been with Fresha (formerly Shedul) since the alpha testing days back in 2016. Early testers were specifically promised that we would never be charged per employee — unfortunately, that promise did not hold true. Over the years, the platform has become increasingly expensive while still remaining frustratingly buggy. Customer support is often limited to scripted, copy-and-paste responses that rarely address the actual issue. The card readers themselves seem to last about a year before needing replacement, and the processing fees, along with Fresha Marketplace fees, have become astronomical for small businesses already struggling with rising overhead. It’s disappointing because the software had so much potential in the beginning, and many of us helped build it through years of feedback and loyalty. Instead, it feels like long-term users have been penalized rather than valued. At this point, I’m actively shopping for a new POS system.
