User Reviews

Marvis Pro earns praise for deep customization, powerful sorting/smart playlists, and strong Apple Music/Last.fm integration. The UI is polished, with templates that ease setup and help users rediscover music. Repeated concerns include unreliable Last.fm scrobbling, performance slowdowns with large libraries, lack of local file playback, and mixed views on value given the Apple Music subscription. Despite these caveats, it remains a powerful, highly configurable tool for power users.
Pros
  • Deep customization and theming with an endless UI configuration
  • Powerful sorting, filtering, and smart playlists/rules for organizing and rediscovering music
  • Excellent integration with Apple Music and Last.fm scrobbling, plus handy templates for setup
  • Visually appealing, polished UI and frictionless user experience
  • One-time purchase value with strong long-term payoff for power users
Cons
  • Last.fm scrobbling and Last.fm+ features are often unreliable or non-functional
  • Performance issues with very large libraries (slow operations, 'library too large' problems)
  • No local file playback support and frequent requests to add local files
  • Pricing/value is mixed, with some users feeling the price is not worth it given the Apple Music requirement

This app used to be much better than the state it is in lately. Now it’s a toss up on if it crashes or not.

It doesn’t work at all. It can’t play music or sort through menus without crashing. It’s completely useless.

Marvis Pro is twice as good as Apple Music should be. I only wish I could pay again for a version dedicated to listening to the music library I own via mp3.
