User Reviews

Users largely find GoCoCo easy to use and helpful for diabetes management, with AI suggestions and grocery guidance. Many praise fast support and effective food logging. However, recurring problems like data loss, inaccurate nutrition data, onboarding friction, occasional input bugs, and mixed views on subscription value temper overall satisfaction.
Pros
  • Super easy to use and user-friendly.
  • Helpful for diabetes management and daily food decisions.
  • Grocery-shopping aid with AI recommendations, including identifying ultra-processed foods.
  • AI-powered tracking and personalized food suggestions guiding eating choices.
  • Fast, responsive customer support and issue resolution.
Cons
  • Data loss: the app can delete all user data and progress (sometimes after updates).
  • Inaccurate or unreliable nutrition data and scoring leading to wrong guidance.
  • Onboarding friction: lengthy pre-use questionnaire and unclear total concept before scanning.
  • Input bugs and data issues (e.g., protein counts inflate, items missing from search).
  • Mixed value for money: opinions split on paying the subscription; some find it worth it, others don’t.

Im annoyed with this app. When you take a picture of your meal, the AI gets it wrong 50% of time. It also guesstimates your portions, from what I can tell so I’m constantly adjusting in trying to tell the AI how many ounces or cups are in the meal because I want the calorie count to be as accurate as possible. There’s also not a large database of products. When I do attempt to add nutrition, facts or ingredients manually/via AI by taking a picture, the app just times out or get stuck on a white screen. However, I do like the general meal analysis/suggestions it gives on including or omitting certain items from your meal to make it more “wholesome”. I still have a couple of weeks left on my trial, but so far I’m not finding this app as user friendly as I’d hoped.
