User Reviews

Reviews show the app can help with GI/GL tracking and meal logging, with some users finding it lifesaving for diabetes management. However, most issues recur around an incomplete food database and poor search, GI/GL data being gated behind paid tiers or unavailable for user-added items, pricing/billing problems, and usability glitches. Overall value depends on access to sufficient foods and data without heavy fees or hassles.
Pros
  • Shows GI and GL values for meals along with nutrition information to aid glucose management.
  • Easy-to-understand interface for logging meals with data persisting for future entries.
  • Some users report lifesaving usefulness and daily reliance for GI/GL tracking.
  • Provides a meal-level GI/GL overview that helps with meal planning.
Cons
  • Incomplete/limited food database and weak search makes finding common foods difficult.
  • GI/GL data often unavailable for user-added foods; much is behind a paid tier and manual entry is heavy or unreliable.
  • High pricing with billing issues, including mischarges and trouble canceling or getting refunds.
Recent reviews
The website has food list GI information, have not been able to find it in the purchased version. All my cooking is Mediterranean, would try a few suggestions, most recipes do not match taste. Are way off base with my food palette. Need the lists of foods as displayed on website https://glycemic-index.net. Farid Balaa Ph.D / Food Scientist.

At sign up, questions are tricky and you think you are saying no, then realize you signed up for stuff you don’t want. Then canceling is not honored. I am still trying to stop monthly bill. I don’t use the app because it is not any good, but afraid to delete until the charge stops.

Program is not free. List of foods is very incomplete. Suggestions in many recipes use not so healthy choices like grape oil. I would not advise paying for this app!
