User Reviews

Users praise eaterpad for deep micronutrient tracking, flexible food entry, clean UI, a robust free version with no ads, and responsive support. Common drawbacks include stability issues (crashes), UX quirks (custom-food editing, navigation nuisances), feature gaps (label scanning, export options, database gaps), occasional data concerns, and mixed views on premium pricing.

Pros

  • Comprehensive micronutrient tracking with detailed breakdowns and goal comparisons across many vitamins and minerals, beyond basic calories/macros.
  • Flexible food entry: easy to add foods, recipes, and custom entries; barcode scanning; pre-log by adding foods before eating; share custom foods with the community.
  • Clean, uncluttered UI that is easy to navigate and log quickly, making tracking feel effortless.
  • Generous free version with substantial features and no ads, offering good value before considering a paid upgrade.
  • Responsive developer support and willingness to address user feedback.

Cons

  • Stability issues: frequent crashes and freezes; app sometimes won’t open after logging many nutrients.
  • UX quirks and editing annoyances: custom foods editing isn’t intuitive; double-tap to select items; side action panel can obscure part of the screen on some devices.
  • Feature gaps/limitations: promised label scanning not functioning as advertised; limited reporting/export options (e.g., printing daily totals); some nutrients aren’t readily visible on the home screen; gaps in the food database (e.g., whole grains).
  • Occasional data concerns: minor data inaccuracies reported by users when comparing with other databases.
  • Pricing/premium options: some users feel the cost of premium features is high or lacking a clear mid-tier option.
Recent reviews

I’ve recently tried several nutrition tracking apps and didn’t keep them for more than a few minutes. Earerpad looks incredibly promising! I really like the ability to add foods, a necessary feature. I am having difficulty editing a food I’ve added though—the screen freezes as soon as I tap “edit”and I can’t even go back. I hope this will work itself out and will keep trying. Will report back again after I have a little more experience with it. So far, thumbs up!

Best app if you really like tracking all your nutrients. This is the first app I found that will track your micronutrients. And still the best app there is!
