User Reviews

GrooveClix Metronome is praised as an inspiring, groove-forward metronome with a feature-rich toolkit ideal for practice and teaching. However, users frequently complain about a subscription-heavy pricing model with add-ons, plus stability and UX issues (crashes, resets, non-persistent settings). The free version is quite limited, which can deter adoption. Overall, it’s valued for its groove feel and educational potential but hampered by reliability and monetization concerns.
Pros
  • Engaging groove-based metronome that users find inspiring and effective for practice.
  • Excellent for teaching and student engagement; praised by educators and players.
  • Feature-rich toolkit including Groove Engine, Tempo Lab, and rhythm/groove libraries.
  • High overall quality and reputation among musicians, with strong practice and musicianship benefits.
Cons
  • Pricing model relies on Pro subscriptions and add-on libraries, with many features gated behind ongoing payments.
  • Stability and reliability issues: crashes, bugs, and features not working as expected (tempo ramp, count-off, resets).
  • UX/UI and onboarding problems: outdated design, inconsistent UI, and settings do not persist; tutorial screens on every load.
  • Free/basic version is very limited, discouraging use without paying.

I’ve bought this app, and I have NO access to any feature, the metronome. I’m sure there’s a glitch happening. However, there’s no way of contacting anyone seems like!

Awesome idea WHEN IT WORKS !!! Sometimes the sounds default to one lame sound only

I use this app for myself for practice as well as with students where I teach. I can’t recommend it enough! The students LOVE it. It makes working on things WAY more fun and productive. I only wish that they would produce more music packs to buy more frequently. I would buy them! SUCH a great app!
